That was my point. CC doesn't seem to even be in the game any more. The Cooper Park post today provides the answer. If the College wants to get back into the game in one of the great comeback communities in the country, THE POWERS THAT BE need to figure out how to do that by bringing talented people on board ,not laying them off and not just coaches, and funding not only a significant events center and the completion of Science Hall, but planning for other growth also and telling the public about it (e.g. a building for the Business School). As a wise man once said, "If you build it they will come".I realize the population for incoming college students today is not what it was several years ago, but it will come back. Alma Mater should be planning for that, not just trying to keep her head above water. BfloGriff is painfully aware of the competition for students that is out there these days is fierce, as some may be aware from the adventures of The Niece in applying to colleges/universities (including CC), as is sometimes posted on this board. Perhaps among the talent that should be brought on board (or retained) is a funding/fund raising professional. Go Griffs! St.Peter Canisius---!.

Why would a student-athlete transfer from a school back home and not work where their parent coaches? That's like Baron transferring from Rhode Island to Bona, UB, or NU. It's just not logical to expect anyone else to have a shot at Maceo.

He's not playing for his mom. Many kids choose to play for someone other than their parents and/or where their parents work.
