Subject: Current Roster

I'd love to see them add one or maybe two transfers. As it stands right now -

Tahj Staveskie - 6'0" - Freshman
Ahamadou Fofana - 6'1" - Senior
Asa Beyah - 6'3" - Sophomore
Armon Harried - 6'4" - Junior
Jordan Henderson - 6'5" - Senior
Akrum Ahemed - 6'5" - Junior
Siem Uijtendaal -6'6" - Sophomore
Malek Green - 6'7" - Senior
Delveion Jackson - 6'7" - Junior
Scott Hitchon - 6'8" - Senior
Jacco Fritz - 6'10" - Junior
George Maslennikov - 6'10" - Senior

I like Henderson and Harried (I believe both still have a lot of potential and ability to grow). Akrum and Siem have much to prove. I hope Staveskie can come in and play right away and that Beyah improves and can provide productive minutes but...there is a major need for a flat out scoring guard.

Jermaine Harris - or someone similar - would be a welcome addition to the front court. However, I can see them going with Fritz, Green, Hitchon - George and Jackson in spots.

I have heard that Tahj, will be a superstar, so expect to see him for only 1 year with the stupid current transfer rule.

Assume the Tahj and superstar reference is wishful thinking but why should we assume we will lose any good player? With the new endorsement etc options for players to make money is there not a real opportunity for Canisius alumni and friends with business' to create advertising and such around canisius players! I assume the college cannot instigate such happenings but we still must have enough clout in the business community to pull some strings or make some suggestions along these lines (unless we have totally given up or have abdicated any clout in Buffalo to UB which is certainly possible). Obviously I have no idea how this new ruling is going to unfold but we shouldn't bury our head in the sand and assume we can't compete whatsoever. We were once a proud college community , there has to be some semblance of that left in WNY and elsewhere for us to build off ! I hope we can create something positive from what otherwise might seem to be a rule that is digging a deeper hole for small schools to lose themselves in. Gogriffs!

Canisius has secret weapons for this: Ron Raccuia, Rob Prazmark, and Dr. Shawn O'Rourke.

I think Canisius is better positioned for NIL than many of their MAAC rivals because they have several sports marketing experts on staff and in their alumni.

Totally agree, the Canisius sports management / sports admin grad + undergrad program is superb and has churned out many successful alumni. Would be smart to utilize internal and external resources to position the athletics program for success.

Tahj a “superstar”. Really???? Let’s just hope he can contribute, because we really need some points out of the guard position moving forward. Go Griffs.
