Thank you, they were 7-6 and had a bad very Covid issue. Not a Reggie fan but this gloom and doom is exhausting. I would like to schedule Daemen or Buff State again. UB plays someone every year who is not D1.

I agree with the poster who observed how many D-1 programs are located nearby. We should never be playing a D-3 team as a regular season game. Why not get a home and home tradition going again with Colgate or Cornel

Albany, Binghamton, Colgate, Cornell, SU, Youngstown, Cleve St, Duquesne, Penn St, Pitt, RMU, WVU, Bucknell, Lafayette, Kent St among others, should all be in consideration for a rotation.
Anything within 300 miles from 2001 Main St.
We keep hearing the college wants to reach out and grow regionally. THIS is how you do it.

The bar is getting very low when there are suggestions to schedule D-3 teams. Maybe we can play some local high schools!!! What has happened to the once proud Canisius Basketball Program?

You would never see Macarchuk. Beilein or Baron schedule a D3 school.

In 1985 (the year the lost to Nebraska in the NIT with Hall and Smrek) the Macarchuk led Griffs lost at D3 Utica 69-61.

Utica was a D1 basketball team back then. Coached by Larry Costello.

I remember the night in the Aud, when Dick Bihr's Buff State D3 hammered one of Nick Macarchuk's better teams, and also how about the night in the KAC when Daemen handed it to Jim Baron's Griffs. I also wish however, that games vs Colgate and Cornell would be scheduled each year. It makes sense financially since both schools are just a couple hrs away. Go Griffs!!!!
