Hi,
I've been trying to figure out how to get more sales -- big surprise, huh?
I must have been using the wrong techniques, because my budget is almost gone. I haven't had enough sales to replace the money I spent - or wasted. I know Jay Conrad Levinson & others say we need to have at least 3 exposures to an ad to even start having an effect. But businesses should plan to pay for at least 27 exposures, because people ignore two out of every three ads they see or hear.
I've been reading The Guerrilla Marketing Handbook. I thought if my budget -- my business - could last until I finish the book, maybe I can turn things around.
There's a lot of good things in his book, I don't know where to start (start over). He wrote not to stop using something because we lose momentum. But apparently I don't have much momentum to lose.
It's hard to turn things around when my mind is spinning around. Instead of reading, I need somebody to just figure what to do then tell me so I can do it.
I hope you don't mind me using more than one forum, yours & others.
I'm embarrassed about my lack of results, people told me I should have a back-up plan when I started my business. Their idea of a back-up is a full-time job (besides running a full-time business?) or at least being able to get a job quickly if the business fails. I figured having a back-up plan is about the same as a plan to fail.
I guess I'm like the conquistadors in Mexico, I burned my ships to force myself to fight inland.
I know this isn't much for details, but if I describe my business, others may recognize me. But there's precious little to describe except a little B2C store.
My significant other figures free advice is worth what I pay for it. But I know some give good advice.
