He smirks and tilts his head towards his vile mate. "Eh, sorry? It's hard to hear..." he turns his smirk to the writhing creature that won't see it anyway. "All this screaming, you know..." Suddenly, his expression turns savage. His paw flashes out, and before anyone has time to react he's grabbed the crying beast by the throat, so hard that his screams are choked off and his eyes are forced wide open. In the sudden silence, broken only by the chinking and meaty thonking of Valeria's work, Velenx's hissing voice seems as loud as any screaming... at least to the rat's terrified ears. Valeria smirks and mutters softly to Velenx, "So cruel, love," as she finishes the second stake and moves around to the rat's other side, where she repeats the process. The rat, terrified and drowning in agony, earnestly struggles not to scream as the pain spreads.
