| Subject: Here's a list of all Scott's Tarzan movies: "Tarzan's Hidden Jungle" (1955) "Tarzan and the Lost Safari" (1957) "Tarzan and the Trappers" (1958) "Tarzan's Fight for Life" (1958) "Tarzan's Greatest Adventure" (1959) and finally "Tarzan the Magnificent" (1960). From the articles I've read, I don't think journalists picked up on Scott's appeal. He brought a degree of 1950s "cool" to Tarzan--at least that's what kids like me in that era recognized, even if the grown ups did not. He was also the first Tarzan to be filmed in color. I think his youth would have appealed to the growing teenage market in movies. Scott was married at one time to Vera Miles, his co-star in "Tarzan's Hidden Jungle." | |
