[> Subject: ...before the onslaught begins...hehe...I've already mentioned Christmas in Connecticut, and I also love, Little Shop Around the Corner, which takes place during Christmas...I can't count how many times I've seen it...and Jimmy Stewart is so sexy in it! One of the Thin Man movies takes place during Christmas, Itried to look it up, but google isn't googling for me, tonight. There are lots of great films that aren't specifially a Christmas film, but still may incorporate, and have the festive feel of the season.

Well, I always love Christmas in Connecticut! Imagine that?? I must admit though that I haven't seen it in quite awhile and hope to refresh my memory tonight, as it will be aired on TCM. Enjoy!!
Happy holidays to all!!

[> Subject: The personal favorite of mine I watch every year at this time is the 1938 "Christmas Carol." which I believe I reviewed last year at this forum. (My how time flies!) Also there's an obscure Disney comedy, "I'll Be Home For Christmas," (1998) that I also like to see this time of year, about a California college student (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) trying to go across country to be home for Christmas despite all kinds of obstacles.

[> [> Subject: It's nice to read, A Christmas Carol, as well....Dickens really painted a little window into what it was like back then...I love his description of the presentation of the Christmas pudding.

Judith...had a lovely day at the neighbors, sampling Indian fare...a good day, all around! I hope yours was a good one, too.
