Subject: Grandfather born in KY

I have been told that my great-grandmother is Cherokee. I am looking for information on Sudie Skaggs. She lived in Cambellsville KY in 1904 when my grandfather was born. She was 36 at the time and married to William Richard Benningfield who would have been 62 at the time. Their son was named William Richard Benningfield Jr. I am looking for any information on her specifically information that shows her to be Cherokee.
