There has been a huge stationary Eddy off of Kona and it has just sucked up all the fish and concentratred things for the last two months. I've been following it because last time this happened I watched it and as it started to move west it brought a bunch of fish with it and I stayed in it from Lanai to Kauai for 12 days averaging 10-15 (100-200lb)tuna per day handlining>. You can see more about it at http://www.satlab.hawaii.edu/atlas/plate8.html or http://www.satlab.hawaii.edu/atlas/#currents which is linked at my web site.
