The man never mastered his native language. Most of his public statements turn the county's face red. Having him in charge of a law enforcement agency is slightly less safe than handing a loaded Glock to a six year old.

But baby, put a dollar sign in front of it, and the man becomes a genius.

He's getting ready to sell the public on the idea of a $.7 billon bond issue. The long term debt repositioning they've done will allow it to go off with no tax increase. That's no small feat and I expect the voters will approve it.

Ten years ago, had you been interviewing candidates for the superintendent position and mentioned part of the job was to get voter approval for both a sales tax AND a construction bond issue, I expect most applicants would have passed out in the chair.

It's good to see Alvin using his stones for something other than public CPOG lynchings.
