of the blog issue I sent her in response to her blog topic request? I feel pretty safe placing my letter to her here since I'm about 99.99% sure she'll never run with it.

Ah Bridget, the gauntlet has been thrown down.

In recent years a particular school board, that shall remain unnamed, but that oversees the largest school system in Georgia has effectively discredited any citizen that has the audacity to question their actions. They continue to violate state laws (according to Georgia's A/G Thurbert Baker) by voting to purchase properties, in executive session, behind closed doors. They have allegedly reached out to silence ex-employees across the country. Yet they supported an employee who falsified mandatory state reporting documents, one that is on record as referring to special education as an "Albatross around our neck" and who tends to micro-manage our schools rather than allowing teachers and staff at each school to do what need be done.

They continue to use intimidation to keep teachers toeing the line, firing (or attempting to) any teacher that exercises their God given ability of independent thought, have been known to purchase property to build a school between toxic landfills. Squandered tax dollars on redundant testing and have begun the practice of buying properties, selling them and leasing them back with a lease / purchase agreement (visit their new Central office complex) —effectively creating debt to taxpayers without a constitutionally mandated referendum. (The Georgia Constitution prohibits a county, municipality, or other political subdivision (e.g., school system), from incurring any new general obligation debt without the assent of a majority of the qualified voters of the subdivision, obtained in an election held for that purpose. Ga. Const. art. IX, § 5, 1(a). This memo summarizes the key requirements for conducting a bond referendum (election) for counties, municipalities and school systems in Georgia.)

I have but one question for readers. Why in heavens name to taxpayers, parents and teachers continue to put up with such shenanigans?

Ok, two questions. When will y'all finally figure out that you way out number the few that are robbing many of our children of an education through poor planning and micro management and do something about it?
