Subject: Nancy Hauge loses Mom, 88

Florence Estelle (McMaster) Hauge
(McMaster) Hauge March 17, 2007 Florence Estelle (McMaster) Hauge, 88, passed away March 17, 2007 at her home. Born in Rochester, 1918, her family moved to Syracuse in 1927. Estelle graduated from Syracuse Central High School and Crouse-Irving School of Nursing. She was a private duty nurse until Olaf F. Hauge bestowed a ring, a kiss, and a lifetime of love May 1941. Raised to appreciate Home Family, and Civic duty, Estelle became a charter member (1949) of Oslo Lodge # 438, sons of Norway, and later honored with a life membership for her years of service and dedication. She was active in Boy Scouts of America with Olaf and their sons. See volunteered with the American Red Cross and the Veterans Administration for their handicapped vets swim program at Syracuse University. Estelle loved the Lord and served him faithfully her whole life; first at Danforth Congregational Church for 40 years, and lastly at Plymouth Congregation Church (U.C.C.) for 38 years. Her Olaf passed in 1990. She is survived by sons, Eric R. (Kathleen) of Evergreen, CO and Karl F. of Syracuse; daughters, Nancy Poquadeck of Syracuse and Joan K. (Robert, Jr.), Maddeford of Clay; a sister-in-law, Mary R. Plumridge of Cicero; cousin, J. David Joor of Manlius; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends remain to celebrate her Incredible life. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Plymouth Church, 232 E. Onondaga St., Syracuse, NY 13202. Calling hours are Friday, March 23, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Funeral Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd. E., DeWitt. Memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Church Memorial Fund; Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St., Liverpool, NY 13088 and Meals On Wheels, 300 Burt St., Syracuse, NY 13202.
