Bah, humbug spring. It's almost Easter here in northeast PA - and there's a dusting of snow today. Nothing green has poked through the ground yet. One warm day last week I optimistically took the electric heater out of the bird bath, and it's been frozen several times since. The rite of spring here is to shovel/rake the gravel off the lawn - where the melting piles of snow from the winter plowing have left it - back onto the driveway. Also waiting for the first black bear to arrive and yank down my birdfeeders. Glad to know that spring is more promising elsewhere - I'm still waiting.
