Subject: Zoia Stoyan Loses Brother, 69

Paul A. Stoyan
April 12, 2007 Paul A. Stoyan, 69, of Syracuse, NY, passed away Thursday at his home with his family by his side. Paul was born in Ydrousa, Florina, Greece, and came to the United States in 1951. He previously was the owner and operator of Paul's Handy Counter Grocery which was located at the corner of Oakwood and Raynor Avenues on the south side of Syracuse. In 1999 he retired from New Process Gear after 15 years of service. Paul was also an avid bowler and golfer and overall sports fan. Surviving are his wife, Milka; a daughter, Christina Wilbur of Central Square; two sons, George of Clay and Peter of Tampa, Florida; one sister, Zoia (Frank) Robinson; and six grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday the Burns Garfield Funeral home and 11 a.m. at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home, 3175 E. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY. Contributions may be made St. Sophia's Church, 320 Waring Rd., Syracuse, NY 13224.
