Subject: Central Tech Girls Badminton Team

My wife tells me that she was on the Syracuse Central Tech Girls Badminton Team but they never played one game, hit one shuttlecock, held a rackett or even had a place to play the game ! The entire girls "sport" was a series of lectures after class consisting of the rules of the sporting game.

It this really true ? Didn't the girls have a badminton court, equipment, and some sort of a coach ? My wife's yearbook shows a picture of the Central Tech girl's bowling team, some with bowling bags. One would think that the a badminton team could have been fielded with even less effort.
