Our 45th was "Simply Marvelous," if I could swipe that thought from Billy Krystal. I don't know about any numbers attending yet, but the faces I saw were full and fun. Personal memories back to almost the womb were shared and new startling facts became known about others.

Our apparel was flexible and no one I saw was a wall flower or chair hugger. In fact, I must say that this was the liveliest gathering we've had to date.

Tom, Bev, Donna, Kathy, and Mike, I believe, have tossed in a thought or two for consideration for the 50th.

It's a perfect time to let it all hang out and no idea is to lavish or pityful until we/they have to begin to plan it.

I like Kathy's idea of blowing the wad of our resources on the 50th as the 55th group could reserve the seats at the local Toddle House for all who may make it.

I spoke to John Dittman, Acting Principal of the Syracuse Institute of Technology today (Thursday.) I mentioned a fact that Syracuse is the largest city without a public voc-tech program in the country. He sadly knew that fact and John wants to find ways to resurrect that important part of education for the other half who didn't go to college.

Our class is living proof of the positive payoff that the Tech program provided. Quite possibly we can get the "local" tech guys involved in the planning process as the school may not open until 2008. Educators are not always the best ones to know about the "Real World" as many of us have experienced, and such a contribution would be an expression of our care and concern about the old school and the new students. That is what I'd like to toss into the mix as what I'd like to see.

Again, there were many of our classmates attending who I did not get a chance to chat with, bend their ear, arm or other part of their anatomy, and I hope to share on line or in time those reminisces with them.

Love Y'all!!

1700+ days and counting.

Dave
