For my money, there's just no replacement. I haven't lived in the CNY area for over 30 years, but have visited many times. Each time, I purchase several pounds of Hoffman's franks and coneys to take back home.

Even if I was flying, I got some Hoffman's and a package or two of frozen peas to keep them cold and fresh until I got back home.

In the interim, we get by with Ballpark franks. Not the best replacement, but they'll do in a pinch.
