Seriously, it's a very bittersweet moment for me because of course I want to go to the reunion in Englewood, NJ and would not dream of doing otherwise, but it was completely unexpected that it would come up on exactly the same day. It put me in an unenviable position even though it was so clear what the right thing to do was. I hope the fiftieth does not concide with the Englewood, because that will also be a pretty significant one there.

In lieu of being able to make this one and possibly the fiftieth I would strongly encourage those who would like to meet me to try to make it to one of the minis, which I am much likelier to be able to get to (we nearly got there last year). Again, I did not anticipate this though I should have. It occurred to me briefly that we could drive up at least for the brunch on Sunday, but I just don't know if it would be worth the hassle with traffic and all.

Thank you all for your kindness throughout the year and years. I'll look forward to the yearbook.
