For all of my tenure as a student (and probably for a long time before that) football, baseball, track, and cross country trecked a couple of miles south to Kirk Park to practice. Only baseball could actually play home games there.

After I left Central (sometime between 1962 and 1968) the block immediately east of the school was cleared and appeared to be in use as a practice facility. I don't know if it was ever improved to the point where games could be played there. Someone like Ed Lukens would know the full history of this.
