Well, Kathy, you may be correct re the life of the forum, but I think we two should try to bring it back. I am sorry that you are so restricted with obligations that you can’t escape from the frigid Northeast, but at least you can dream. For my part, I have left most of my obligations for that very reason and love to enjoy what GOD has allowed me to see and experience…having cheap airline/military tickets isn’t bad either. The cruise was very nice and, as I said, the warm weather and sun really added to it. I am surprised, though, that you want to venture toward that “third rail” of debate involving politics, but count me in. As you and others know I am a conservative Christian voter and think along those lines. I hardly ever vote the Democratic ticket just for that reason unless some candidate from the “dark side” had impeccable qualifications and there was no other choice. That doesn’t seem possible in today’s arena since the Democratic party seems to have been taken over by extreme progressive zealots with no thought of the good of the country. I also thought, at the last political convention, the almost failed attempts to include a Christian world view illustrated how far off the mark the party has gone. I don’t necessarily believe the Republican party is my first choice, but, in this country, we really don’t have a viable 3rd party. The GOP still does have platform planks for the right to life, anti abortion, and some remnants of our Christian heritage that I am comfortable with most of the time. Therefore, to answer your question re Hillary Clinton or Elizabeth Warren, that seems like multiplying by zero…you go through the motions, but the end result is still zero! Much too much baggage for me; unscrupulous, highly progressive or socialistic, and no real experience or accomplishments on the world stage that count round out those candidates. I would hope the Democratic party could find someone with better bios, but the picking seems thin at this point. But, according to Forrest Gump, life is still a “box of chocolates”! On another point, I wrote to Sue Kenyon re an issue and she told of plans for a 55th reunion- great. I gave her some thoughts which included Hotel Syracuse, Drumlins, and/or the venue we had last time on Oneida Lake. I think 3 days is great for those of us who travel a long distance with each day an option for those in the local area. I trust you will digest all the above and respond with your usual “grit” to get the debate ball rolling- Ciao!!
