Happy Thanksgiving to Ron & to all of our classmates. May you have a wonderful holiday season with family & friends.

You would be amazed at how much we have done in anticipation of our 55th. Since our amazing Denny has "retired" as Co-Chair, Sue Kenyon Bartow has stepped up to partner with me. Sue has always been a super hard worker for the class doing all those things that we could not do long distance. Currently, Sue is trying to pin down the venue for Aug. 26 & 27. While this may seem easy enough, it is HUGE!!! Location, parking, pricing, housing, menus, privacy, space all come into play. We are hoping for Hotel Syracuse, now a division of Marriott, However, Sue will make a determination based on overall exegencies of what is best for our class. Additionally, we are relying on Hazel Sterner for her excellence in creating the visually terrific Recorder and overall vision of our major reunions. The rest of our Steering Committee Tom Hogg, John McLoughlin, Bruce Yenny, Dave Agresti, Liz Beiling, Bill Goodwin, Donna Prosser, Nancy Hauge, Mike Holley each have areas of expertise and give guidance. We lost our Callie Ann Pappastavrou and she will be missed.

We will have the Fines do pix. There will be the usual group photo ($20) plus this year a DVD ($20) that promises to "catch" us all in our 70+ year glory...a tour of CT is in the offing unless a serious mildew issue forbids visitors to the old building...it has not had much use since 1976...

We have been working on placement for Minerva. We want her in a place where she will be available for viewing in perpetuity. We will draw up legal papers showing that I have given her to the Class of '61 and that should the venue where she is to be exhibited determine that she will be no longer be viewable then she will revert back to the class. Additionally, I have asked my insurer how much it would cost for a rider in case she is injured at any point. She is valued at $5000. All this should guarantee that she is not mothballed nor auctioned off again...at least in our life times.

We have THE RECORDER more than half way done. Hazel's ability to make it look amazing will have you very pleased. We hope that you will
want to "come home" for this 55th Reunion. As we move toward the 60th and 65th, we will be in our late 70s and early 80s and the kind of labour intensive job it is to put these weekends together just gets harder & harder. People are very much less likely to pack their bags and travel...so, if you are able, please consider joining us August next. We do this out of love for what was and what is...Our teachers may be there to see you...Muriel Connerton Ketchum is 85 and Ed Lukens is 93...all the rest are gone.

Let us know that your intention is to join with us!!!! Kisses, KBN-O
