Subject: Did the Boy Scouts have a point in not allowing homosexual Scout Masters?

Hi everyone,

I am not Catholic and I don't mean this to be Catholic bashing.

I understand that the seminary takes 4 years before you can become a priest. You also have to take vows to server the church and yor parisheners. Yet,the lifestyle comes through. Now the church has a tremendous problem. It will take years to restore the faith of their members. In the meantime, the church will not be able to do the good it is noted for, because of the suspicion people will have. Donations will be down, and money that could have gone to a good cause will stay at home. And people who donate time and materials will also be less available. It's sad but true.

Now, knowing all this, could the Boy Scouts of America been right in denying scoutmaster status to homosexuals? It appears they had a point.

Richard
