I have recently located our family geneology papers .
They go back to Thorkil De Cliveland/Moses Cleaveland(Cleveland). Within my information I have the English relatives and the coat of arms. The info also lists Moses Cleaveland's 11 children; Samuel, son of Moses; Joseph, son of Samuel and then Joseph's youngest, Samuel is listed with his 11 children, then Chester,5th son of Samuel & Ruth and their 15 children; then Asa Cleaveland, son of Chester who married Experience Avery. Asa and Experience moved to ILlinois( Greenview)and lived on a place called Yankee HIll. They have 11 children listed. Asa's 5th child..Joseph Chandler married Adeline Pond and had 8 children their son Truman H. Cleaveland married Laura Turner (Which are my great-grandparents); they had 6 living children & 1-2 infant deaths. Their son Bruce L Cleaveland (M.Frances Andress)is my grandfather; they had 3 sons....F. Lyle (named for Bruce's twin that died), Joe L and Gordon E. Fred Lyle Cleaveland Sr is my father who married Lois Munson (Irwin,Ia) and moved south in 1933 to Alabama. They had 3 children, Bonnie L, Gay J (myself)and Fred Lyle, Jr.(now deceased). Truman H & Laura; Bruce & Frances all lived in the Oakland, Iowa area. Bruce and Frances later moved to Foley, Al. Hope this will help debbiedrum@ hotmail.com
