I am doing some research for a book about an 1840's community called Newburg also known as Middlesville and Cleveland in the 1840's near Rockford, Illinois.. According to the 1840 Winnebago County Census.. Charles J., James T. and Sylvina Cleveland came to this area and shortly afterwards, the town's name was changed to Cleveland. Does anyone have any information about these early settlers? Thanks..John.
