I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner.
No, I had never heard that Osborn Cleveland might have fathered a son by one of his slaves. But, I don't know a lot of personal stories of the Clevelands before my line moved to Texas. Osborn Cleveland lived in Fair Play, South Carolina during the Civil War so his plantation should have been there. He moved to Franklin County, Georgia some time before his death in 1891 or 1892.
Last year I participated in Ancestry.com's DNA testing. If you're an ancestry member, that would be an easy way to find out if we have a common ancestor.
