Part of our family oral tradition includes a rumor that our line of Clevelands were actually Cleburns/Clayburns and that around the time of the Civil War the name was changed to Cleveland. I have found nothing of record to support that and wonder if any of you have come across such a thing, rumor or otherwise. Any feedback greatly appreciated.
