This branch of the family traces back to Moses CLEVELAND, who originally immigrated to New England in the 1600s. My line is through Francis CLEVELAND, the uncle of President Grover CLEVELAND, but I dont recognize any of the names you have here. Nobody knew the name of the Cleveland ancestor. But, I have since discovered that ancestor was Harriet Cleveland of Mobile, AL or Franklin, GA. She is definitely of the southern line and not the northern. I wonder how many other southern families out there have folklore that they are related to President Cleveland. Of course, it appears the southern line and nothern line must be related, so I guess technically it is true that the southern line is related to president Cleveland. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
