In reply to: Eric Cleveland (TX) 's message, "Re: Clevelands of Georgia" on Sat, Mar 20 2004, 2:08:30

I have listed John D. or John Lawson Cleveland July 10, 1852 The son on Thomas Anderson Cleveland (b.July 26,1818, d. Oct. 6, 1873) and Evaline Sullinger (not a lot of info. on Evaline. She was a twin and was belived to be half or full blooded Choctaw Indian). The information on Evaline came from La Nere Cleveland Williams lanerebob@aol.com, who I believe also resides in Austin, TX area. Any relation?

If this is the John Cleveland you are looking for, his father Thmas Anderson Cleveland was the son of Jpseph Cleveland and Martha (Patsy) Meeks of Elbert Co., Georgia.

Hello Valerie...I just read your Cleveland notes in a CFC issue. I live in Seattle, WA. We'll be visiting Georgia in October. The clue in your text to my family members is ELBERT CO. Jeremiah & Nancy Helen (Clark, Habersham Co, GA & Jacob & Millie (White), Elberton, GA are my direct line. My question to you is where are these townships...I can't seem to find them on my GA map. We will be visiting Savannah & vicintiy. Can you advise me as to what facilities are available in GA for research. Thank you ! Jean
