I was browsing through www.genealogybuff.com today and found the LDS Ancestor records. I found it very interesting
in that it has Sarah Marvin being born in 1771 and not marrying Amaziah until 1790. It also has her dying in Orange Co., IN 16 Apr 1825. Would that be at the home of her step-son Ezer (b. 1782)? Does anyone know what the real facts are? It seems to me that when Amaziah's Bible does not list Sarah Marvin it may point to the facts mentioned above.

It also has Amaziah (b. 1827) as the son of Ezer of Orange
Co., IN. He is listed as marrying R. Stoolman in 1847. I can't seem to find that in the 1850 census but will keep looking.

I would appreciate in further information on this information.

Hi Glenn,
It's Linda again, I find the dates you have listed interesting. If in fact Amaziah married Sarah Marvin in 1790, that would actually fit. On the Bible page it lists the last child born in 1789. Amaziah married Sarah a year later? But as I posted in a different message the Bible page has Abigail dying in 1774, all the children listed on the Bible page are born between 1775 and 1789. Do you think Amaziah married in between Abigail and Sarah and if so to Whom? This is so confusing!!
Linda

Hey Glenn,
This just doesn't make sense. I just found a web-site listing the children of Amaziah & Sarah as being born between the yrs. of 1777-1793. Three of their children have the same names as the ones in the Bible page( Adden, Junia & Abigail). If Sarah was born in 1771, she would of been 6 yrs. old when her first child was born.

Linda,
I know. It is very confusing. People have come to recognize the Bible page and the 3 Vol. Cleveland Family Genealogy Book for so long, that it's hard to distinguish right from wrong.
By the way, I do not have a copy of the Bible page. I have asked for it but so far nothing. If you have a copy would you mind sharing?

Thanks,
Glenn

You can get a copy of the Bible page @
www.usgennet.org/usa/in/county/orange/amaziah.htm or just go to any search engine and type Amaziah Cleveland Bible page, thats how I found it.

Thank you. By the way, the "f" in some cases represents a double "s".

Sorry, pushed the wrong key. This is another dissertion on Amaziah (1) bible page.
1. Did you notice that 3 supposedly sons of Amaziah #1 are missing? Where are Amaziah #2, Hezekiah and Zachariah?
2. The Abigail mentioned at the bottom of the page is the daughter of Ebenezer (Ezer) of Orange Co., IN son of Amaziah (1).
