Glenn,
I found Marsena Cleveland listed in a Jessamine,KY 1810 census, page 60, also listed on page 60 is a Zachrie Cleveland. I know there's a KY connection to one of the Amaziahs. I'm so confussed, does this help any?
Linda

Linda,
Thank you for the info. I have been going through the censuses and I am fairly sure that I may have straightened some things out.
We know that Amaziah (1) died in Shelby Co., Ky. In the 1810 census for Jefferson Co., KY there are listed:
1. Addin and Ezer sons of Amaziah (1).

In the 1810 census for Jassamine Co., KY there are listed:
1. George probably one of the Southern Cleveland?
2. Marsena (Son of Amaziah (1)? There are 4 males under 10,1 male 16 thru 25, and 1 male 26 thru 44 (Marcena?
3. Zachue (Could this be Zachariah or Zalter son of
Amaziah (1).

In the 1820 Clark Co., IN census Marssena (Amaziah #1)
is listed as 45 & over on sheet #2, line 9, Ezer, son of Marssena? is listed as 16-25 on line 11, and Emaziah (Amaziah #3?) is listed as 16-25 on line 10.
(Ezer married Mary Moore in Clark Co. 8/23/1820).

In the 1830 Clark Co. census Marcena is listed as 50-60 on page 48, line17, Ezer is listed as 20-30 on line 19 and Amaziah (3) is listed as 30-40 on page 49, line7.
(Ezer D. married Priscilla Underwood 1/9/1831).

The 1840 census is a lttle hazy as far as being able to read it, but this is what I came up with.
Page 259, line 12 - ? Cleveland (maybe Meres son of
Amaziah (1)
line 17 - Moses P (son or Meres)?
line 20 - E. D. (Ezer D)
line 21 - Mercena

Page 261, line 6 - Amaziah (3)
line 7 - Warren (son of Meres)?

If you have any ideas using this information I would appreciate any input.

I believe I am in Ezer D.'s line. My GGrandfather was his son W G who is listed in the 1850 Moultrie Co., IL census.

Hi Glenn,
Have you looked at the dates on Amaziahs' Bible page real close. It states that Sarah Cleveland was born March 26th 1772 or 1774. Abigail Sprage Cleveland died on March 26th 1774. Either the same day as Sarah was born or two yrs. later, but then all the other children are born after Abigail dies. She could not be their mother but who is?! Also Merfena(Marcina) is born on Sept. 19th 1775 and Meres is born only 6 months later on March 13th 1776, How could that be? Am I reading these dates wrong? Please let me know what you think.
Linda

Linda,
I don't really think that the bible is correct in a number of ways. I seem to recal from someplace that he bought it for 15 cents in 1803 in his 60th year. I have being born in 1745. How about you?
Glenn
