I agree with Lori. I would also express your concerns in some form of writting...email so that you have a response on paper from the school stating that they will not ecknowledge your childs dyslexia diagnoses from Texas. Word the email something like this..."I appreciate the tutoring that my daughter has been receiving but am wondering why other support services for her diagnoses of dyslexia given while she was enrolled in Texas school is not being acknowledged within your school system?" You have to try to put into writing and have them respond to your email to make sure that you can show that they are aware of the diagnoses. Ask a general question in the email like "are there any other services you can provide to my child for her dyslexia?" If they respond and they do nothing else...go to the school board with the response and your testing from Texas and tell the school board you want accommadations made for your child. Email me back if you like for some common accommodations or goggle dyslexia accommadation and you will find alot.
