I know how u feel . my son is 13 and we did the hold back deal it didnt work . If he has dyslexia then a reading specialist is the best for u. My son finally learned his letter by using tactile letters and the forming words with them... then we put the letters into sentences and then long after we made a game of reading them....dry erase boards are fun to read and make disappear too. good luck and money always works or a new game as a reward.
