I too have a child in upper primary shcool, soon to start high school. In Australia there is not much support for Dyslexic children at school but in high school they are allowed to use a laptop, get extra time for exams and can have exam questions read out to them. In addition to this I have downloaded a program called "Please Read". It is free and any text on screen can be read by this program so research is less tedious. The student simply highlights the text from a website, email or anything really then copies and pastes it into please read then presses play, the text is read to them. Also a dictaphone may be helpful. The student speaks into the dictaphone and the computer program converts speech into text. I have not found this yet but heard about it from the Psychologist who diagnosed my daughter. Goodluck
