Hi,
Have you considered teaching your daughter at home? Not just tuoring for the dyslexia, I mean full time. There are excellent resources available to parents to help their own chldren. The Sue Barton Reading and Spelling System is just one of them, but is excellent. It is an Orton-Gillingham based program; from all the research I've done- the best for dyslexia. Check out www.brightsolutions.net.
If homeschooling just isn't an option, and you feel you can keep on the school, don't give up. It may help to have formal testing done, if you haven't already. With that you MAY have a better chance, and at least you will have documentation with which to make your case. There are laws concerning special needs help, but often the schools refuse to be accountable to them. Sometimes legal action is needed. Hopefully not in your case. Your child's future is at stake; emotionally, academically, and socially, and she's trusting you to protect her and help her.
I don't know much about it, but check out www.wrightslaw.com. Maybe there will be help for you through there.
