My daughter is 12 years old and dyslexic. Her teachers avoid the word 'dyslexic' like the plague. Her teachers have never seemed to care about anything I was telling them. Her school offers a limited amount of help for 'learning disabled' children, but won't acknowledge the fact that she's dyslexic. They don't know anything about dyslexia. I don't know how I would afford to send her to private tutors and learning centers even if I was able to drive the distance to get her their. I wish I knew of some help out their. These kids are all going to give up, they're having to work too hard.
