Try and find a developmental optometrist in your area, preferably one who has a vision therapy department. It's quite possible that you'll be able to get a dyslexia test there, but more important, you should get your child's vision skills assessed there as well. I'm convinced that most kids who are considered dyslexic are dealing with undiagnosed vision issues. That might not be all that they're dealing with, but addressing the vision problems makes it far easier to then teach them to read.
