Hi! I also live in Illinos. How long ago did the school test her? Did she have, what they term Specific Learing Disability? If so, this is a pretty good indication that she has dyslexia. Neuropsychologist is the type of Dr. that could test for dyslexia. If the school just tested you could disagree with it and get them to pay for a private test. It depends on how much time has gone by, I think. You know the "parent rights" paper they gave you? That will give you the info about your right to have private testing. Hope that helps!
