In reply to: Jack 's message, "Kelly or Kelley printing machines" on 18:51:58 03/25/02 Mon

The Kelly presses were very popular for many years - they were made in the U.S.A. by American Type Founders.
I am involved with the Bedplate Press Printing Museum in
Wellington, New Zealand, and we have a medium-size Kelly
(several sizes were made - 1, 2, 3). Our Kelly is in regular use now after restoration - with a competent printer, it can produce excellent work.
Best wishes,
BILL NAIRN
