I'm a Linotype operator/print shop owner dating back to 1950 when I learned the keyboard. Two years ago I printed a keepsake for the biennial meeting of the American Typecasting Fellowship. It was a reprint from the Linotype News about the other things going on in history the month the first Linotype was put into use. A fellow member of the Amalgamated Printers' Assn. got hold of a copy and now it's in the Baltimore museum. I was flattered. I own and operate a model 32 with dozens of extra magazines. I suffer from matrix accumulation--a non-fatal disease.
