Subject: I agree. Our school has been communicating with us, but judging from earlier posts, not all the teachers in our region have been updating their familes. The region really should update their web page and other social media. It does bother me that two regions are being allowed to move to January instead of looking for new venues. It doesn't seem fair to the other regions. Their dancers, especially the college students will be much better prepared with an extra two months and Christmas break.

I'm not understanding how other regions' Oireachtas being moved to January is unfair to the Mid-America dancers. They all have to be ready in November. Dancers in other regions having more time to prepare for their own Oireachtas doesn't effect them.

[> [> [> [> I actually understand their point. My kids are in college and it's really hard to find time for class, much less practice so having Christmas break to catch up would be helpful. Last year my college freshman daughter competed against students in high school and she saw a brutal drop in placement. For the younger dancers, no big deal. For the older dancers, a few extra weeks would be tremendous! -- I actually get it, 16:50:20 09/14/20 Mon (ue.tmodns.net/172.58.203.11)

[> [> [> [> [> Overseas qualifiers have also been postponed and just so you know in Canada Christmas’break’ is 2 weeks only if that. College kids have exams throughout Dec so with dance school closed for 2 weeks at Christmas it’s worse to postpone -- WCAN, 01:05:23 09/15/20 Tue (d173-180-248-244.bchsia.telus.net/173.180.248.244)

Fully agree. Quickfeis and the Mid-America website and FB page continue to show Schaumburg as the venue. Through our TCRGs, many of us seem to hear that Mid-America wants to hold to November for Oireachtas (in Indianapolis), but looking around, postponement to January seems to be the trend. An official communication, or at least a holding statement, definitely would be appreciated.

[> [> [> [> [> I completely agree. Continuing to show Schaumburg on all of the websites does not inspire confidence. It isn't easy for any event planners these days, but at lease deleting information known to be outdated should not be too much to ask. -- No name, 18:19:45 09/17/20 Thu (c-68-84-179-197.hsd1.mi.comcast.net/68.84.179.197)
