Subject: Very few dancers participate without costume. The "no-bling" and "no makeup" rules don't apply, as long as the make-up is part of the costume. Even the judges will be dressed up!

From past experience, I recall dancers aren't allowed to participate in the "specials" like Treble Reel UNLESS they are dressed up in costume. Another note: In choosing a costume, make sure arm placement and legs can be seen. If the judges can't see the arms and legs, they may not be able to judge your dancer fairly. It's also unsafe for a dancer to compete in an outfit that goes to the ankles and I have seen dancers attempt this. I cringe every time!

This is a very fun feis. We have done several Halloween themed feisanna and this is by far the best!

[> Thank you for this post. Unfortunately the rules in the syllabus are standard required language that must be posted in all syllabi. As in the past, we encourage all dancers to forego their ID costumes and instead wear a Halloween costume. The fun is that teachers and judges also dress up.
