Yep! That's where I be. Not the Hickishaw area (Milwaukee area as well) tho. I'm over on the udder (heh heh..get it?) side of the state.
This sure is Hicksville though!! I left for 20 years (lived in San Diego for 10) and somehow ended up back here about 7 years ago! I get a kick out of all the hicks...heck, I think I'm reverting back myself! It kinda grows on ya..yanno? ...lol
All things considered I'm happy here. Some of the best people you'll ever meet....and my brother is my best friend and next door neighbor, so that's the main reason I stay. Big families abound around here...8 in mine and I'm an Unlce, like, 23 times...I think...at last count. You should visit your roots some time! It's a beautiful state.
Take care teegz.....t

My brother is in Milwaukee and I get out to see him once in a blue moon. Last time was 1997, so I'm due to visit again soon. Since I'm going to Hepfest, I won't be making a trip this year.

My family moved to Phoenix when I was 10 (talk about a culture shock!) and I've been in San Diego off and on since 1971. Here full time since 1990. I was diagnosed with HVC in December of 1991 and started monotherapy in January of 1992. By now the virus just seems a part of who I am. I think it's a part that makes me stronger, for accepting it (like my addictions) and trying to help other people.

When I mentioned San Diego, I didn't remember that that's where you're at...funny. What part? I lived in Escondido, Poway & Mission Beach. Spent a weekend or two in El Cajon...but that's a long story...lol.
The Milwaukee area is not representative of Wisconsin. Much much prettier area to the west. The western half of the state is very hilly and woodsy..pretty nice place to chill.
I know what you mean about this becoming a part of you. I was only dx'd a year ago May 1st, but you either accept and deal with it, or it wins. And we'll have none of that. Good attitude. Glad to hear you're coming to the fest...it'll be nice to meet you. ...see ya teegz.....t

but I've also lived in Pacific & Mission Beach (backintheday), La Jolla, Downtown, North Park. When I first came here in 1971 I stayed with some friends of a friend in El Cajon. I was arrested on a drug charge, but they were vitamins (really, the dope was stashed!)

Wisconsin is VERY beautiful! In 1988 I moved back to Waukesha. I was going through a pissy divorce and my daughter was 10 and I thought, why not give her a better place to grow up, back to my roots so to speak. Well, it was beautiful, but I was drinking alot then and spent a lot of wasted days and nights. I still managed to freeze my ass off. And the summer was no better with the 600% humidity (perhaps I exagerate) and the killer mesquitoes.

I look forward to the Hepfest, I've never been to Pennsyvania and I am getting excited. PLUS all the people I get to meet, you of course, and Susie and Tooshie and, and, and....seeing susinni again.

I better get back to work, or no dinner for me!
