Hi,
I�m in my 3rd year of a BSc in sport studies at the University of Southampton.

My dissertation involves the identification of psychological differences between people who compete/train in team sports and people who compete/train in individual sports. Specifically, I want to compare people who choose to row in singles to those who prefer to row as part of a crew (in quads, fours or eights).

I'm looking for people who row as part of a crew or in a single out of choice. That is, they do it because they prefer to and not for any other reason, for example, coaching influences, access to boats etc.

As you can appreciate it's not easy to find people who fit the bill, and I need 25 from each group (single and crew) so every person who is suitable and willing to help is greatly appreciated.

All I need you to do is fill out one 22-question inventory. Each question needs a number from 1 to 5 written next to in, according to the individual's feelings/beliefs. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete and is confidential. The questions are in no way invasive, offensive or overly personal.

If there is anyone at the club (male or female) who fits this description it'd be great if they could email me at cmp101@soton.ac.uk so I can arrange it that you fill out the inventory.
