Etymology will have you thinking that friendship is this
or that, a sort of quid pro quo school of thought.
But a real friend, a true kindred is someone who is part of you. The BOTH of you acknowledge that you are made of
the same ambysmal muck. The two or three or four of you
comprise a larger, far greater entity than any single one
of you.
Friendship in the Highest is where if you could hug
that person just tight enough, the two of you would tran-
substantiate, coalesce and/or melt into a beast with a fish
around its neck and a homemade cigarette to spare in its
breast pocket.
Are you that friend?
Where in the world is Cleveland Everlast or Dennis?
Bombs fall every 24 hours, but friends will not falter.
WE MELD.
