Subject: Alan and Rima

They met in 1977 and have been "together" since. However, they are not married; nor do they live together. While she is described as his "significant other", there is something odd about a relationship (my opinion) where the couple in question do not cohabitate, are not married, nor do they seem to ever appear at movie openings together. As for her being his "significan other", my brother has one of them too--he's gay, she's a lesbian and they depend on one another like the bestest friends. They too have been together forever it seems--no sex, no partners--just one another.
