We would move from place to place, and somehow, some member of this bandit's family would always manage to find us. Countless times we escaped barely by the skin of our teeth. And we came here, but still he managed to find us. He had been the last of his family. You saw the havoc he wreaked, didn't you? And he got away with a brand on his forhead. But Crystaline and I still had fears that he would come silently from the dark one night, and take both our lives. How long were we supposed to live with this fear? How long did were we to cringe around every corner, in fear that some unfriendly being would plunge their dagger into our hearts? So we took the option that would end the whole feud then and there."
