Linux GPL requires that any code provided with kernel will be suppied in source form.
Flash Disk drivers provided by CompuLab don't have to be compiled with kernel. They can be loaded as modules after kernel starts. We therefor don't violate Linux GPL. Users of our products aren't taking any risks.

We cannot provide source code because it will be copied by competitors. This code is generic and supports variety of standard NOR and NAND Flash components used in our products. Publishing the code will allow our competitors to use the same methods and we will loose our competative edge.

Regarding M-systems DOC: it has some parts of functionality implemented inside the chip, rather than in driver. This protects M-systems - the source code is useless for anything other than interface to DOC.
