There is a story behind every life;
Whether it be of love or strife.
There was a heart, mind, and soul.
A story lies waiting to be told.

If there were tears and doubt,
Than love is a dream that life was without.
If there were fairies and pixies near,
Than it was a life freed of anger and fear.

Yet what if there were many a self,
Anger and joy; emptiness and wealth.
Who’s to say it was pleased or poignant?
Where is the proof of what it meant?

A happy mother filled with riches and glory,
Ends her life with a murderous story.
Now was her life joyful and whole,
Or was she engulfed by an exasperated soul?

A bitter man spends his life angered and alone,
Then gives it freely so someone else can go home.
Was it a once in a lifetime generous deed,
Or was it just an opportunity in need?

An innocent child dies in an unwary accident.
Did heaven take home an angel, or was it devil’s sent?
Did she have hidden secrets of her own,
Or was her true innocents overtly shown?

An elderly man passes in the depth of night.
Was his life a gentle river or a never ending fight?
He had a loving wife and kids off in success;
Yet was his heart in a crying distress?

There is a point where life eventually ends,
And the assumed story begins.
So next time you think of putting on a grin,
Ask yourself what is really deep within!!!
