The class of accuracy is defined by several standards including AGMA, DIN, ISO, JGMA to name a few.

Most accuracy standards include composite and tooth to tooth tolerances along with elemental tolerances.

If you are in North America, I would suggest that you start with AGMA A2000-A88 although this will soon be replaced by AGMA with a new ISO standard. The standard can be purchased online thru www.agma.org

The accuracy level that you choose should be a fit to the design of the mesh. You dont want to overspecify for a mesh that does not need the precision. Usually, the finer the pitch, the more precision that is needed.

Web Gear Services Ltd.'s software has as standard features, AGMA accuracy tolerances.
