Nia strode confidently into the hall her long hunting knife hung on her belt. She looked over to wear the dragons played in the water and sighed.

Skye smiled with an eager look in her eyes. Then headed to a wall where various weapons hung. She selected several sharp daggers and, slipping two into her belt, walked back to Nia. Nia flipped her hunting knife into her hand. She watched Skyes stance, this girl wasn't a student. Then Nia's hand flashed out, meeting Skyes blade with a ring that echoed out through the entire cavern. (NT) -- Nia, 23:07:53 05/09/04 Sun
Skye was ready when Nia came at her. Skye had to admit that Nia knew what she was doing. Skye only hoped that she (Skye) could keep on her toes long enough to keep things interesting. She was better with a broad sword but like she had told Nia could handle a dagger well enough. Skye met Nia's thrust and using the dagger pushed Nia's knife causing her to back up a few steps. Sparks flew from the blades as she pushed away. Skye then tried to disarm Nia. (NT) -- Skye, 05:20:37 05/10/04 Mon

Skye jumped neatly over the blade and landed in a somersault. She swung her blade just inches from Nia's arm. Had this been a real battle and not a spar she could have wounded her adversary. (NT) -- Skye, 05:01:30 05/11/04 Tue

Skye, taken aback at Nia's swiftness, had her blade pulled from her hand. The knife that Nia had aimed at her throat came about half an inch from Skye's throat.
